We went down to the old plaza area of Santa Fe and played tourists. Santa Fe loves to call itself the "City Different", and it is different in that almost every building in town looks alike! By law, every new building built in the city must either be "adobe" or Spanish Colonial design. Almost all are adobe and these buildings are allowed to be any one of 3 colors of local mud. As a result the whole town looks like it was built from the same set of plans by a bunch of dirt daubers. I believe you can get too much of a good thing!
