It's Hsu Whey's first time at the fair, and a picture with Big Tex was obligatory |
It was on to the food court where - surprise! - we met up with the Walners |
Next stop was at the Colliseum for the 3:00 pm show. This year it's "Spirit of the Dance" |
The Texas Star was looking good on the way to the Garden Center |
The butterfly gardens were profuse with exotic butterflies from all over the world. |

The parade was combined with opening ceremonies this year. Luckily Kay Bailey didn't speak too long! |

We made a second visit to the "Spirit of the Dance" show, and afterwards the girls got a picture with some of the dancers. |
Now Jim and Connie have developed a unique strategy for resting up from walking all over the fair grounds! |

Wednesday night we took in Mama Mia at the State Fair Music Hall. |
The following Wednesday found us all back at the fair ..... eating turkey legs again! (Calories and Cholesterol don't count during the fair) |
