Memorial Day weekend 2004 |
Meanwhile, "back at the ranch", the Plano Police Explorer Scouts were selling hotdogs and a soft drink for 25¢ up at Fry's. We got our share and then some! |
We "babysat" the neighbor's Bougainville during the winter, keeping it in the sun room where it continued to bloom. Now it's back home next door and thriving in the Texas summer. Just couldn't resist a picture of it when we came back from pigging out on hotdogs! |
Now that school's out for the summer, Alex and his parents are going to visit Maggie's family in Mexico. We thought they probably needed one more good New Orleans style meal, so we took them to Pappadeaux for dinner. Joseph had to work and couldn't make it, so Alex and I ate his share! |
Alex was joking that he was going to eat the "whole thing" when the bananas Foster crepe dessert arrived after dinner. He did relent and let us have a taste though! Quite a large taste as it turned out. |
Then on Memorial Day itself, Angie and I rejoined the Wallners and friends at Cedar Hill State Park. Jim caught the two of us in this picture as Angie relaxed in Connie's hammock chair. |
