Memorial Day weekend 2004
at Cedar Hill State Park

On Memorial day we rejoined friends down at Joe Pool Lake for a lazy afternoon. At a lunch of scrumptious leftovers, we were treated to two jet flyovers in the "missing man" formation, reminding us of the sacrifices that made this possible.

After lunch we all took advantage of the mild weather to enjoy siestas while Jim worked on his laptop at the dinner table.

Mango juice from ear to ear!

For an afternoon snack, Angie produced several ripe mangoes and proceeded to slice them up for us. Although difficult to see in the picture, she has mango juice from elbow to elbow, and the rest of us had it from ear to ear!

Mmmmmm, good!

Angie also cooked supper for the evening. Here she's preparing some fresh shrimp to be cooked in olive oil, garlic, and fresh picked rosemary. They were delicious as were the other dishes.

Endorsement

Before our young Dutch couple got away, Connie made sure she got and "endorsement" for her Dutch Star RV. They both seemed to approve.

And of course the end of any evening in camp has to be marshmallows toasted over an open fire. Elizes turned out to enjoy them almost as much as Connie.

Thus ended a great weekend with friends.

But wait!  There's more! See next page!
