I guess circumstances conspired against the February luncheon. On the 12th the Dallas area had a record setting snowfall, the 13th was on a weekend, no notice was sent out, and Monday was Presidents Day. When I walked into this month's luncheon, who should be the first person I saw but Smilin' Eldon Streck! Just before I left on vacation Eldon was confined to bed and being cared for by hospice and his family. He told me he was going to get up and walk again, and by golly he did! He's in his usual good humor, and both he and Mary are looking great. |

Our 115th luncheon in December 2010 brought back lots of old friends including some folks who've been absent for a while. It was good to see everybody again and hear all the latest news and plans for Christmas. |
