Springtime in Texas - 2005 |

We finally made it to our destination, the Mize Azalea Garden at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoces, TX. |
Angie was happy and enjoying the beauty of the gardens amongst huge East Texas Pine trees. This place has the most diverse collection of azaleas, rhododendron, and Japanese maple trees of any garden in the US - they claim! |
One of many Japanese maples in the garden. |
Some of the azaleas and rhododendron had already bloomed, some were just opening, and many were just budding out. This pink one was just at its prime. |
I'm not real sure what this plant is, but it was certainly attractive. |
