2002 visit to Horseshoe Bay, etc.
December 2002
- Continued -

Upon returning to Marble Falls, we checked out the Walkway of Lights. Although not on the scale of the Lake Belton display, it was well worth seeing. It's also right along the lake, and you can see the lights across the lake in the background.

Retirees relaxing at the Horseshoe Bay club house

Before they headed back home, we took Marion and Shue Fong by the Horseshoe Bay club. The temperature was around 75-80° F that day.

I'm not sure whether they look like retirees or newly weds!

Angie and I spent one more night at Horseshoe Bay, and before we left, of course we had to eat one last meal at the Blue Bonnet cafe.

Right about here I'm hunting for one more slice of peanut butter pie!

One more peice of pie before we leave please!

Crawford, Texas

On the way home we decided that we might as well stop by Crawford, Texas and check it out.

We knew George and Laura weren't home, so we didn't bother to go out to the ranch!

As we headed back toward Waco and home, we were treated to a spectacular moon rise. Listening to PBS, I learned that the December full moon is known as a "long moon". It is visible for over 14 hours per day even at these latitudes.
