John Plant, Melvin Brown, Jim Harrison, Dave Kuester

Well, it was time for another meeting of the rat pack. I met John Plant, Melvin Brown, and Dave Kuester for lunch and an hour or so of catching up on what's going on and telling tall tales - (be sure and ask Melvin how his tractor wound up in the water well in the middle of that field!)

A good time was had by all, and we all agreed that we need to do it more often. Next time's slated for the new Van Alstyne restaurant, .... or maybe Howe.

John Plant called again one day to invite me to lunch with him and some other "old Rockwell/Alcatel friends". Then John caught sick and couldn't make it. I caught Gene Brooks and Keith Wagner at the table just before Kerry Burleson walked in to make it a foursome.

I was happy to be invited to join some old friends for lunch the other day. Here we are sitting around plotting what we're going to do to the red headed guy that didn't show up.

While chowing down on a turkey leg at the Texas State Fair 2000, who should we run into but Larry Halbert with whom I used to work at Alcatel. Love that Tee shirt his son has on! He's a boy after my own heart. It reads "Three Square Meals a Day" and shows three Blue Bell ice cream sandwiches! Larry said they made a trip down to Brenham not long ago.
